1957-2007

At a time when his classmates were heading into high school, John J. Jerue took a different road and began driving a truck. From 1942 through 1957 he learned and perfected his trade, taking time out only to serve in the U.S. Army. Upon return from his military enlistment, John resumed hauling loads between Florida and the Midwest. One day in 1957 an associate, familiar with John’s relentless pursuit to get the job done, challenged him to leverage his experience and expand his business vision. Ignited by the challenge and ready for the risk, John ventured into the truck brokerage business which flourished under his entrepreneurial leadership.


Established in October 1957, John J. Jerue Companies has served customers successfully for more than 50 years. John’s ambition is closely tied to the Company’s success which he attributes to the following principle: “My word is my bond.” Over the years his professional staff built trusted relationships and a reputation for reliability and fairness. John J. Jerue Companies prides itself not only on its customer service but also on its ability to quickly render carrier payment – consistently within 24 hours of PODs.

While innovation and technology have greatly influenced the Company’s unwavering ultimate growth, but its commitment to customers, quality, and low cost has remains unchanged.
